Purchased properties has to be built as per specifications and developers must come good for rectification work during DLP warranty period. Unfortunately, most of us do not have the know-how to identify and determine defects and will often miss out defects that will come at a high cost after the DLP period.

For this reason, we decided to hire Canaan to identify defects in our property. Our main concerns were piping issues which causes water leakages and they were able to scan using humidity reader on the walls. At the end of the inspection, we were given a thorough report detailing a total of 246 defects which comes with labels and photos. These defects were identified based on industry standards and since the report was done by certified professionals, the developer was compelled to fix the defects. The certified report can also be used in legal process against developers should the need arise.

In a nutshell, buying a property is one of the biggest financial decisions and for a small fee to perform defect inspection, we managed to save so much more out of the DLP rectifications done based on Canaan’s report.
